To guide this conscious retail concept, LN-CC has created Sustainability Standards to identify its dedication to ethical solutions. LN-CC Conscious is continually remodelling its framework to improve all aspects of this contribution in order to develop its sustainable choices. The LN-CC Conscious Sustainability Standards have two tiers, the first being fundamental while the second is encouraged.

TIER 1
CRUELTY-FREE
Without exception, LN-CC Conscious will not accept brands that are:
Made with the use animal testing, fur or exotic skin. Excluding the use of products, made with by-products from animals raised humanely.
TIER 2
LN-CC Conscious also considers brands that contribute to eco-aware attitudes that relate to all aspects of the design, trade and production process. LN-CC encourages the below practices:
ORGANIC
A company that use natural, untreated GMO-free fabric processes; products that are dyed in the most environmentally friendly way possible, without damage to workers health and using natural dyes with low metal and Sulphur content where appropriate.
FAIR TRADE
The company must meet the internationally agreed Fairtrade standards recognised by the World Fair Trade Organisation. The company must offer fair wages and safe working conditions, promote local sustainability and provide access to training and job development.
ECO-FRIENDLY
Products that are made from fabric that has been manufactured in an environmentally conscious way. Either with a recycled or reclaimed material; by the use of dead stock and industry off-cut materials to minimise the flow of waste into landfills. Through the use of organic eco fabrics that are bio-degradable or recyclable, or activity that promotes eco-aware technological developments in the textile sector offering a viable alternative to conventional materials. Production factories must meet the local government standards for waste and energy control.
ARTISANAL
Made by very rare skilled artisanal techniques that come from unique regionally specialised traditions created by hand. This supports individual pieces in an industry of mass production.
ANIMAL-FRIENDLY
Vegan (100% animal free): Products contain no leather, fur, wool, skin, exotic skins or any other animal-derived fabric, or by using animal by-products from animals raised humanely.
CO2 FOOTPRINT SENSITIVE
Proactive action and efficiency when managing carbon footprint and the challenges of climate change or the advocation of local community production to minimise carbon footprint and support domestic employment.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Brands should balance financial enterprise with ventures that benefit society; companies should develop a positive relationship with the community in which they operate.
